Synopsis

Ruby is old. Rata is young. Ruby's a conniving old snob afraid of rest homes and Rata's a conniving solo mum practiced in welfare fraud. At first they seem to have nothing in common when Rata and her son, Willie, move into Ruby's downstairs apartment. Separated by age and culture, they are nevertheless two of a kind who engage in a battle of wills - with budding arsonist, Willie, in the middle.
