Synopsis
Poil de Carotte is a red-haired young boy, the youngest of three children born into an upper class family in the provinces. His mother makes him her whipping boy. He tries to understand why his mother detests him. What is it about his red hair that drives her so mad? He decides to find out who he really is. Maybe he was adopted or maybe he?s not his father?s son. When he realizes his mother will never love him, he decides to give up trying to change her.
