Synopsis
Set in 1981 Morocco, 7-year-old Mehdi's father has been imprisoned for political dissidence. The boy is distanced from all around him, an isolated figure. He has only two things for company: his free-spirited cousin, and his teacher's chair. Mehdi has been entrusted with looking after the chair, a job which he takes very seriously.
