Synopsis
12 y/o Ryan has an acute fear of the dark. He spends each night lying awake in torment, waiting and watching as the evil in the darkness grows stronger. His older brother Dale, thinks that this is just a ploy for attention. One stormy night when looking after his little brother the power goes out. Ryan knows that tonight the evil has finally come to claim him. Dale tries to calm him down but he starts to realize there is reason to be afraid.

7 / 10 If you like thrillers and boys, you'll love this one! James and Zegers are two of my fav's, I was so into this movie, I found myself wanting to hold Jesse in my lap and comfort him, and the movie gave me the heeby jeebies! he and Kevin did very well!

9 / 10 3 / 10 5 / 10 I watched this one three times already. I think both boys do an amazing job. Jesse James is so good as the scared younger brother, and Kevin Zegers aces his role as the sceptical yet thoughful older brother. It's the psychological terror that invades into their minds, not so much the actual visual transformation. That leaves a lot to the viewer's personal imagination and makes the story quite scary, especially if you allow the eerie plot to affect you.
