Synopsis
The Brazilian badlands, April 1910. Tonho is ordered by his father to avenge the death of his older brother. The young man knows that if he commits this crime he will be killed in return. He is torn between fulfilling his ancestral duty and rebelling against it, urged by his younger brother Pacu. That's when a tiny traveling circus passes through the vast badlands where Tonho's family lives.

7 / 10 8 / 10 Another fine movie from from Walter Salles, one of the world's best directors. The ending of the film is a little bewildering but it is still well worth watching. Ravi Ramos Lacerda does a great job in the role of the young brother.
