Synopsis

Set in Queens, 1962. Oliver Beene's world is full of comedic chaos. His eccentric family is headed by father, Jerry, a dentist whose idea of a fun is drilling his kids' molars, and his mother, Charlotte, a homemaker who idolizes Jackie Kennedy. Older brother Ted is a sports fanatic who lives by one simple rule: "If it ain't about sports, it ain't worth talking about."

Bijou

The nostalgia of The Wonder Years with the anarchic comedy of Malcolm in the Middle. That's what I'd heard about it - but I have to say it's more than that. Again, the producers have seen the light and not bothered with canned laughter, meaning we have the opportunity to laugh at what WE find funny.
