Biography

Lewis Sargent was the first truly convincing Huck Finn (Robert Gordon's earlier Huck had been too old - as had Jack Pickford's Tom Sawyer). Sargent continued to have minor roles in the 30s, though these latter were nearly all uncredited. In the 40s he drifted out of the movies, becoming instead a Probation Officer for the State of California.
