Biography
Bruce Prochnik was a boy soprano. The fourth of five children, and the only one to become an actor, he was born in Watford in England. He played his first professional engagement in 1960 as Tiny Tim in "A Christmas Carol" at The Theatre in the Round at Croydon. This led to an understudy assignment for the musical "Oliver!" in London, from which he later graduated to the title role. He went on to play Oliver in the 'straight' (i.e. non-musical) version of the novel produced for BBC television.
