10 / 10 A tough one to watch, but still a great film
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10 I thought Johnny was convincing as an abuse victim. the story is about a lot of the boys at the orphanage, but mostly the Kevin Reevey character, it's in more detail the physical and sexual abuse he suffered, and some scenes are quite convincing. There are some scenes of scripted nudity, and one scene of accidental nudity. of course all of the scenes of sexual abuse were dramatized, but some were quite shocking, I'm sure for the dramatic effect. I was in my early 40's when I saw this movie the 1st time, and when Kevin gets beaten by the head brother, I started weeping for him, it's that powerful of a movie! I'm sure, the only type of person that would not be shocked by this movie, would be someone who has absolutely no conscience!
