Lake City (2008)

I enjoyed this touching movie, although Colin's role wasn't really much of a part. Don't get me wrong, he did well and looked great, but it's a relatively small role and didn't demand a whole lot from him.

I enjoyed the books, and the movie was fun, but nothing "special." It was worth watching, but not mandatory...

The Red Hand Gang (1977)

Well, it's been FOREVER since I saw this, but my brother and I were obsessed with it as kids (about 7 years old) and even made our "own" Red Hand Gang! So, I'm going to start the ranking with a 7 and if I see it again sometime, I'll revise it!

I'm not saying this is a high-class movie with great social impact... although it does try to make that point too, perhaps... but it IS fun and it's jam-packed with some very talented (and cute) boys!

I always have an inflated rating, I suppose.... but really, as far a the munchkins go, I thought they did a great job.

The Thief Lord (2006)

I somehow missed giving my review for this movie before... As far as I recall, the film itself was only okay, but the kids did a great job. If you're willing to watch a weak movie just to see some good actors, you should give it a go.

Walkabout (1971)

I remember this film being pretty good, although I watched it a long time ago. I just ran across it again, but no time to sit down and enjoy it... and this time it's a DVD, too! Rotten luck.

The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep (2007)

It was a pretty good movie... I certainly don't think I wasted the buck I spent watching it. Alex was great, as was the incredible landscape! (I *really* want to visit the land of Eire!)

Wild Tigers I Have Known (2006)

It's certainly not your "standard Hollywood" film, and it's not as good as "You Are Not Alone," but it was interesting and the mood of the movie really did seem to fit Strumpf's character. I am really glad I finally had the chance to see it!

The Year of Getting to Know Us (2008)

Okay, this movie wasn't completely out of this world, and Chase didn't have much to do - he was only in the frequent flashbacks... but he was beautiful wherever he was!

3000 Miles to Graceland (2001)

I've seen better, and I've seen worse. I don't own this DVD either... but I remember David was quite nice in this role.

Bad News Bears (2005)

Well, okay, the original was better because it was, well, original! But it was interesting to compare the two and see the "modernization" they did to it. Hooters. A skatepark. And still some good kids... although yes, the original Tanner was better. Somehow I don't feel I got to know these boys as well as in the original.
