Kidnapped (1938)
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10The Kidnappers (1953)
My Movie Rating: 7 / 10The Kids Who Saved Summer (2004)
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10Killa (2014)
A wonderful depiction of boys bonding with each other and having fun together. Superb cinematography by Avinash Arun, reminded me of Wojciech Szepel's cinematography for Mein Erstes Wunder. The language is Marathi. Also see The Journey, a good film about forbidden love in rural Kerala that's a bit reminiscent of the deservedly popular Sri Lankan films Gamperaliya and Golu Hadawatha by Lester James Peries and Gehenu Lamai by Sumitra Peries.
My Movie Rating: 9 / 10Killer Kid (1994)
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10Kim (1950)
Not as faithful to the book as the 1984 TV version.
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10Kindergarten Cop (1990)
My Movie Rating: 5 / 10The Kindergarten Teacher (2018)
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10The King of Kings (1927)
My Movie Rating: 9 / 10King of the Hill (1993)
Based on A. E. Hotchner's autobiographical novel. Beautiful colours -- though Soderbergh has said he'd shoot it a completely different way today -- and a fine, relaxed lead performance from Jesse Bradford.
My Movie Rating: 9 / 10King of the Wild Stallions (1959)
My Movie Rating: 6 / 10The Kings of Appletown (2007)
OK rural adventure in which the twin boy stars play cousins, with Dylan's hair cropped and dyed brown. Or else it's a wig. This must have been filmed around the same time as Suite Life season 3; it's interesting to see them tackle something a bit more substantial than the one-note silliness of their Suite Life characters.
My Movie Rating: 5 / 10Kinoglaz (1924)
Propaganda piece, exuberantly innovative, very interesting prelude to the unmissable Man with a Movie Camera. Could make a good dual watch with A Bronx Morning and People on Sunday.
My Movie Rating: 9 / 10Kiseki (2011)
Touching and well done but slightly improbable. Doesn't quite measure up to Koreeda's best film, the superb Still Walking. Also see Happy Hour.
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10Kisses (2008)
A little reminiscent of Darren Thornton's Frankie, a superb short film about a 15-year-old father-to-be, but not as good. Still very watchable.
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10Kit Kittredge: An American Girl (2008)
Decent spinoff of the popular, and expensive, American Girl Doll line, from back when the dolls' stories were about history.
My Movie Rating: 7 / 10The Kitchen Toto (1987)
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10Kiwi Flyer (2012)
My Movie Rating: 6 / 10De Kleinzoon (2013)
My Movie Rating: 4 / 10Knafayim Shvurot (2002)
Quite good and worthwhile, but Campfire is better.
