Synopsis
Cedric Errol, a poor Brooklyn boy is destined for greatness. Although he doesn't know it, his deceased father was an English nobleman. When it becomes apparent that he is heir to an English title and an immense fortune, his mother takes him back to England, where they discover that her father-in-law, the Earl of Dorincourt despises Americans. To win his birthright, Cedric must struggle against false claims to his title as well as his grandfather?s cantankerous disposition.

7 / 10 A class act with a knockout turn from Freddie Bartholomew. His acting is enthralling. The film is at some pains to show our hero as a boyish boy, to counteract his sissified reputation.
My Movie Rating: 9 / 10 Freddie Bartholomew was born to act the part of Little Lord Fauntleroy. He does so in this film with posh voiced aplomb. A host of wonderful supporting actors make this version a fine vintage example.
