Synopsis

Lamb, a Christian Brother, teaches at a Remand Home on the Irish Coast. Whilst trying to come to terms with his loss of faith he is made responsible for the epileptic Owen. Owen regresses under the home's brutal regime. The death of Lamb's father and the resulting inheritance signals a means of escape for him and the boy. Masquerading as father and son the couple depart for London but the police are soon in pursuit. Bent on preventing Owen's return to institutionalised suffering, Lamb is left with a tragic and uncompromising solution - the ultimate act of love and mercy.

Hugh O'Conor was great throughout the film (except the end). I always did like Liam Neeson, I still do, but i didn't expect him in this kind of role. It did seem kind of strange for Liam, but Hugh was great and again except the ending Hugh's performance made this a very good movie.

A great film. I loved it. Funny in some parts but very sad too. If you don't like unhappy endings, I wouldnt recommend it, but it's definitely worth watching. Brilliant performances from Hugh O'Conor and Liam Neeson.

Very well made and extremely well acted. The ending is not recommended for the tender-hearted. (who am I kidding? That's me!) But I give it high marks for good use of talent.
