Synopsis
Srulik, an eight-year-old boy, flees from the Warsaw ghetto in 1942. He attempts to survive, at first alone in the forest, and then as a Christian orphan named Jurek on a Polish farm. Throughout his ordeal, his Jewish identity is in danger of being lost. The story is based on the bestseller by Uri Orlev.

8 / 10 The movie was great specially with the fine performance of the Tkacz kids. In a sense this movie did sound ridiculous in that you have hundreds of German soldiers, their dogs, their tanks, their high powered gunnery and all that out looking for one little boy. One would think this boy is a mass murderer. But that's the Nazis for you.
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10 A sometimes funny but mostly harrowing film of a young boy on the run in wartime Poland. I never realised twins were playing the same boy even if the character names, Srulik and Jurek, were different. The acting from the brothers is very good and the film keeps up a steady pace with one situation developing after another.
