Terrible movie. Had a hard time making it to the end because it all felt very empty. There isn't really a story and there's way too much talking. I also find it really hard to understand who exactly this movie is for. Aside from those of us with a special interest in boy actors, I can't imagine any adults getting into it, and there's so much swearing it obviously wasn't meant for kids either. Just a big mess overall.

This film tried to imitate 'Lord of the Flies' and 'War of the Buttons' but fell short. I mainly rate it from the boy actors performances which were quite good however, it badly needed more action and less talking. Then it lost a point by bringing in a ... girl ... a sure sign the plotline will suffer. It should have had lots more boy extras to make it a real war movie with lots of battle scenes. A notable film in that it was a rare example of child only actors taking part. A good point were the many DVD extras.
