Synopsis
Between November and January of 1985, over 8,000 Ethiopian Jews, known as Falashas, were transported from Sudan to Israel with aid from the United States and Israeli governments. Film follows the story of a 9 year old Christian child whose mother has him pose as a Falasha to give him a better life, "to live and become." Assuming the Jewish name Schlomo, he struggles to assimilate into Jewish and Western cultures without causing suspicion on his true identity.
