Synopsis
A coming-of-age drama set in New Zealand in the summer of 1943. A black American soldier recouperating from his wounds is staying with 12 year old Rex and his family. Directed by Peter Sharp the series lovingly re-creates the forties, but also made some serious points about racism and small-town prejudices.
