Synopsis
Based on the memoir by Beverly Donofrio. 16 year old Beverly is pregnant and her dreams of going to college in New York and becoming a writer are shattered. She marries the father of the child but he is a bit of a loser and blows all their money on drugs. Eventually she is forced to throw him out, and spends the next few years struggling to raise her son on her own. However, she never gives up on her ambition to become a writer.

7 / 10 4 / 10 5 / 10 6 / 10 Logan Lerman only appears for a few minutes in the later part of the movie but is quite effective. Cody Arens plays the same character at an earlier age. He has more screen time than Logan and is excellent. Unfortunately we don't see him until about halfway through the movie.
