Synopsis
Filmed in the Gaza Strip following the Hebron Massacre. Yussef, a 12 y/o boy lives in an imaginary world of his own and often escapes from the surrounding violence to the beautiful Gaza countryside. One day he meets Aida, a gypsy girl with whom he falls in love. When Yussef declares his intention of marrying her when they grow up, she says he must first find three jewels missing from her grandmother?s necklace...

9 / 10 I loved this movie for its gentle charm and gritty honesty and the insight it gave me into the lives of Gazans. More so that the young boy who plays 11 yr old Yusef, Mohammed Nahnal is very talented and has a wonderful screen presence.

10 / 10 The first feature ever filmed in the Gaza Strip. Something unique and special from Palestinian cinema, as are Elia Suleiman's wonderful Divine Intervention and It Must Be Heaven.
