Biography

Born in the UK, Jason moved to South Africa with his family at the age of six, settling in Johannesburg soon after the Soweto riots. He began his career as an actor in advertisements before being chosen for the lead in the coming-of-age movie 'Claws', a role for which he was nominated for an Artes Award in the category of "Best Performance in a Dramatic Work". He continued to work in South African film and television, moving into TV and radio presenting at the age of nineteen, before emigrating to the UK in 1995 where he carried on his work in television presenting. Later on, he was to move to Chamonix in France, where he and his wife were to own and manage a ski chalet company.
